Men's soccer finishes season after play-ingame
The Vermont Tech men's soccer season came to an end yesterday with a 7 – 2 loss to Paul Smiths in a Yankee Small Conference play-in game. The game was played at Paul Smiths College in Birghton, NY under very wet conditions.
Paul Smiths got off to a strong start to take a 4 – 0 lead at halftime. With some second half tactical adjustments Vermont Tech scored 2 goals, both by Senior Bryan Cole (Wallingford, VT). His first goal was scored on a direct free kick, and his second came from a spectacular diving header on an assist from Brigham Reese (Jr. Canaan, VT).
Overall it was a fantastic season for the Knights of Vermont Tech men's team. Coach Kenneth White says "Under numbered for most of the season, the players gave all they could give. They showed great character, sportsmanship and HEART throughout the season".
