Vermont Technical traveled to New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) for a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) game on Wednesday, September 18th. NHTI got on the score sheet in the second minute of the game with a curling shot into the top corner by Ramiro Osorio. VTC got an equalizing goal in the 17th minute from Junior Oliver Durand on an assist from Bringham Reese.
The game was pretty even the remiander of the first half, up until the 41st minute when NHTI scored the go ahead goal. NHTI also netted a third goal before halftime.
With NHTI up 3-1 at the start of the second half, both teams had a good share of possession throughout the period. Vermont Tech had many breakaway scoring opportunities in the second half, but was unable to capitalize.
The final score at the end of 90 minutes VTC 1 – NHTI 3. Darren Calverley played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Vermont Tech Knights.
The next men's game for the Knights is this Sunday, September 22nd at home against visiting Hampshire College. Kickoff is at 2:00 PM.
