RANDOLPH, VT.—The Vermont Tech women's basketball team handed the SeaWolves of Southern Maine Community College a 14-point loss in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) home contest Sunday, Feb. 2.
The Lady Knight's swarming defense stifled every SeaWolve attempt at a run, their best defensive quarter came in the forth forcing 6 turnovers and holding SMCC to just 12 points on 5-15 shooting.
Farah Mesidor led all scorers with 23 points 9 rebounds 5 assists and 6 steals. Kimah Stribling notched a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Kennedy Henderson added 18 points, 9 rebounds 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Vermont Tech has won three-in-a-row climbing to 8-5, 4th in the Yankee Conference standings, 11-9 overall.
SMCC dropped its third conference game to stand at 10-3, 18-4 overall.
