Collin Johnson runs to a top 10 finish; men head to Nationals

Vermont Tech #1 runner Collin Johnson makes All Conference Team at YSCC Championships

Vermont Tech competed Saturday in the Yankee Small College Conference Championships at NHTI.

Our #1 male runner, Collin Johnson (Fr. Westminster, VT) ran the 8K course in 31:22 for a 10th place overall finish, earning him a spot on the YSCC all conference team for 2013. Head coach Bob Dunkle was happy with the race "Collin ran a good race today and was well prepared for the course. He has it in him to improve for Nationals". Coach Dunkle also coached the only other Vermont Tech all Conference Team member, Justin Newland, in 2010.

Vermont Tech will be sending 4 men, each of whom qualified to race in the 2013 USCAA National Cross Country Championships being held November 8th in Syracuse, New York.

The Vermont Tech men's team continues preparing to compete for national recognition. Joining Colling Johson on the Men's squad are: Owen Mayhew (Sr. Barnard, VT), Nick Martiros (So. Rutland, VT), Jon Henault (Fr. Windsor, VT) and are preparing to compete with Collin for national recognition in Syracuse.
