Knights fall to USCAA D1 FNU

Randolph, VT- The Vermont Tech Knights are in the midst of a 3 game road trip in Miami. First the challenge was the Conquistadors from Florida National. FNU entered the matchup ranked 2nd in the country in the USCAA D1. The Green Knights got off to a slow start trailing 0-12. After a timeout the Knights seem to come alive going on a 8-0 run to cut the lead to 4. FNU went on another big run to go up by 10 midway through the first half. The teams continued to trade baskets but the Knights went to the half down by 14. 

Knights came out in the second half with 2 baskets to cut the lead to 10 but the Conquistadors hot shooting kept the Knights from from cutting the lead under 10 in the second half. Knights fell to FNU100-81. Jeremiah Shaw led the Knights with 31 points while grabbing 8 rebounds. Chance Cole and Xavier Hicks added 14 a piece. Florida National was led by Jaquan Robertson with 26 and Jeffrey Hernandez also had a big night with 25. The Knights are set to take on St. Thomas Tuesday.
