MATT DANGLER WINS POLE VAULT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Dangler brings National Championship to Randolph
Randolph Center, VT: Vermont State University Randolph Athletes competed at the USCAA National Championships on Friday and Saturday. Matt Dangler, an Aviation student on the Williston Campus, broke the Pole Vault record of 3.45 M ( 11'3.75") with a sky-high vault of 4 M ( 13' 1.5") and a National Championship. "Matt worked hard all season and during indoor to make this accomplishment" said coach Dunkle. "He certainly earned it and I am proud of him"
The school record books were changed by other athletes competing at Nationals, including Porter Peloquin who is now in second place in the 800M. Congratulations to all the Vermont State University Randolph athletes for a great finish to a tough season. " For us, Nationals was typical of every meet we had this season. With rain and or snow each weekend, this one was no different. Fortunately, the Pole Vault was on Friday, a dry and sunny day. Saturday was very wet.
