VTC Dressage Club elevated to Varsity status

Randolph Center, VT - The Vermont Tech Dressage Team received some happy news at the end of the season last year - they were moving to Varsity sport status after 4 years as a Club sport.

Upon returning for the 2017-18 school year, the riders jumped right into the season, having team meetings and tryouts, and attending athletic department meetings to learn the new policies and procedures for Varsity athletes.  Director of Athletics Hilary Linehan says "we are quite proud to have Dressage come under the Athletic Department banner so that we can provide the team with the logisitical support needed to sustain the program for the long term."

Returning Head Coach Lori Berger expects a full team, including several returing riders, with the majority being Introductory level riders, but hoping to scout and recruit some upper level riders moving forward into future seasons.
