Athletic Awards Presented at 2013 Honors Convocation

Randolph Center, VT - On Thursday, April 11th 2013 Vermont Tech held the annual Honors Convocation. The evening recognized students for outstanding achievements in both academics and athletics.

The following student-athletes were honored for contributions to the athletic program:

Athletes of the Year

Male - Alex Tyrrell (Men's Basketball) 

Female - Kelly Vellek (Women's Soccer/Basketball)

Scholar Athletes of the Year - Highest Male and Female GPA with at least 24 credits earned.

Male - Brigham Reese (Men's Soccer)

Female - Alyssa Cassanelli (Women's Soccer/Basketball)

Angus Murray Memorial Award - Presented to the individual who demonstrated selfless dedication to the Vermont Tech athletic program

Tabitha Totten (Women's Soccer)

Edward F. Kibby Memorial Award - Presented to the athlete who has displayed the most outstanding sportsmanship throughout the year, including having a 3.0 GPA
