Women's Soccer Kearns Named Vermont Tech Female Athlete of the Year

Randolph Center, VT- On Thursday April 15, 2016 10 Student-Athletes were honored with 22 Academic and athletic awards at the Seventh Annual Convocation Ceremony held in Judd Hall.

Junior Gwenn Kearns (Jeffersonville, VT) was honored with three awards for her accomplishment on and off the soccer field. Kearns was awarded the Vermont Tech Female Athlete of the Year. This is presented to the athlete making the greatest contribution to their team and is evaluated in the following categories: overall excellence in performance, leadership and sportsmanship. Kearns is the third female soccer player to be honored with this award, she was also recognized for making the YSCC All-Conference team and the USCAA Academic All-American. Kearns will graduate with an Associate of Applied Science in Architectural & Building Engineering Technology, she will return for her senior year as she works towards a bachelor's degree
