Randolph Center, VT- Sophomore goalkeeper Dani Cochran (St. Johnsbury, VT) made nine saves, but the Vermont Tech women's Soccer team could not hold off Southern Maine Community College's attack as the Seawolves beat the Knights 8-0.
The Seawolves (1-0-0) went up early on the Knights (0-2) in the first half, as Hannah Fields lead the charge scoring two of the five goals in the first half for Southern Maine.
The Seawolves were able to carry the momentum into the second half as Tori Cormier found the back of the net just three minutes in off a cross from Syndney Choate.
Tori Strains earned the shutout for Southern Maine, and Cochran made nine saves on Southern Maine Community College 23 shots (17 on goal).
Vermont Tech Women's Soccer will take the field tomorrow Sunday September 6, 2015 at 12:00pm vs Unity College.
