Women's Soccer drop a 2-0 decision at Unity College

Unity, ME – Unity College got on the board early when Zoe Picanso scored on a high shot in the first 4 minutes of the game. The Rams continued to control most of the offense throughout the first half, out shooting the green knights 4 to 1. Vermont Tech almost scored an equalizer in the 40th minute when Emily Amazeen (Northwood, NH) nearly put one in the back of the net from outside the 18 yard box, but her shot went a few inches wide of the goal.

In the second half, Unity College picked up right where they left off when Ashley Moeller put a hard shot past freshman goalie Dani Cochran (St. Jonsbury, VT) in the 57th minute. Cochran also stopped  Mariza Gionfriddo's breakaway in the 70th minute to keep the score at 2-0.

In her first appearance in net Cochran made 5 saves for the Green Knights.

Vermont Tech is back in action on Thursday at NHTI with a 4pm kick-off
