Women's Basketball celebrates seniors Shana Linqood-McLaughlin and Paige Wells

Randolph Center, VT -  Just before the final home game of the season vs SUNY Canton, Vermont Tech's seniors were recognized for thier participation in Vasrity Women's Basketball.

Senior Shana Linwood-McLaughlin is from Georgetown, Cayman Islands, and played at Vermont Tech for 4 seasons.  Shana will graduate this spring with a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering. In her 4 seasons, Shana has:

Played for 1,910 minutes

Grabbed 232 rebounds

Scored 380 points

Coach Jamie Paterson says "Shana has been a superb defender, ball stealer and leader of the women's basketball team.  She really did everything we asked of her throughout her 4 seasons of play.  You don't see how much of a key player Shana has been for us just by looking at stats alone.  Shana's enthusiasm and determination will be missed!"


Senior Paige Wells is from Orleans, VT and played at Vermont Tech also for 4 seasons.

Paige played for 3 years while getting her first degree, which she received in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, and returned to Vermont Tech to complete her 4th basketball season and is working on earning on a second Bachelor's degree in Diversified Agriculture. In her 4 seasons, Paige has:

Played in 105 games;

Grabbed 1267 rebounds;

And Scored 1405 points.

Coach Jamie Paterson says about Paige "I couldn't have asked for a better player who listens and makes such an impact on the court.  I am proud to have coached Paige and been able to see her get the Vermont Tech school records for highest amount of rebounds and points for any female basketball player. "
