Randolph Center, VT - The Knights women's basketball team played to a convincing 66-38 win over Paul Smith's College on Sunday in the SHAPE Gym to land a solid 3rd place in the conference with a 8-7 conference record.
Vermont Tech took the lead just 25 second into the game and increased the lead throughout the game, focusing on intensity and teamwork throughout the game.
The Knights had 4 players with double digit points. Freshmen Olivia Reynolds (Alburgh, VT) and Kiana Royer () had 10 and 16 points respectively. Freshman Doireann Chesbrough (Burlington, VT) had another double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Senior Paige Wells hat a big double double with 16 points, and 17 rebounds (10 offensive). All Vermont Tech players with minutes in the game scored points. Paul Smith's College was led by Beth Christman with a double double of her own, 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Knights have now won their last 4 conference games by a total margin of 70 points over conference opponents, including victories over UMaine Machias, Paul Smith's College at home and away, and Great Bay Community College.
The Knights play at Fisher College on February 8th, and return home for the final games of the season on Saturday February 11th vs Southern Maine and Sunday February 12th vs SUNY Canton for Senior recognition day.
