Lake Placid, NY - The Vermont Tech Cross Country team was in Lake Placid New York this weekend for YSCC Conference championship races at the Olympic Nordic Ski trails. MT. Van Hoevenburg treated us to a snowy and cold race day. The big news of the day was in the Womens race. Vermont Tech Rebecca Broadbent led the entire race winning easily the YSCC Conference title over last year's champion Chloe Mattilio by 16 seconds. Rebecca ran the 6 K race in 25:02 in heavy snow and a cold wind.
On the Men's side Vermont Tech took 3rd in the Conference led by newcomer James Bridges from the Williston campus. James was followed by Collin Johnson, Avery Gaudette, John Henault , Nick Martiros and Gil Blum.
Vermont Tech will compete at the USCAA Nationals November 8th in Syracuse New York.
