RANDOLPH CENTER, VT - The men's and women's cross country teams will play host to NCAA DIII and USCAA Colleges this weekend at the 2nd annual Vermont Tech Cross Country Invitational race on Saturday, September 13th. The hosts hope to improve their finishes over last year and keep their shoes on throughout the race. Last year, Vermont Tech's #1 runner Collin Johnson (Westminster, VT) lost a shoe in the mud, finishing the race in just his muddy socks!
On the women's side, Freshman Rebecca Broadbent (North Dighton, MA) looks to be right in the mix at the finish of the women's race.
The day kicks off with a 5KM citizens race at 9:30am, open to kids and adults of all ages. Registration is $25 and is available on-line through Thursday here. Race day registration is also available for $30.
The Women's Collegiate Race kicks off on the 5Km course at 11am, the men following on the 8KM course at Noon.
