Two made free throws from Shaw tied the game at 24 a piece with nine minutes to play. Over the next four minutes the home team made a run off an old fashion three point play by Jonathan Pritchett, a Callum Barnes blocked shot, and capped by a Mario Mirchev three point basket. Dispite the struggles at the start and end of the game, Coach Tyrrell was pleased with his teams performance.
"We are playing very well offensively right now", said Coach Tyrrell. "Our defense is also improving each game as well. Machias were very energetic tonight. They added some guys at break and they brought a spark to the group. It was a good win for us."
The win improves the home team to 13-6 overall, and 6-2 in conference play.
They will face Central Maine this Friday, January 16 at 8:00 p.m. in SHAPE gym.
