Junior College Transfer Joins Knights

Head Men's Basketball Coach Alex Tyrrell has signed DaJuan Johnson, a 5'10 guard from Baltimore, Maryland, to a Letter of Intent. Johnson joins the Knights after playing a season at both Olive-Harvey Community College and Catonsville Community College.

Coach Tyrrell was pleased to get the commitment from Johnson and reunite him with former Olive-Harvey teammate, Tyrone Hilson.

"DaJuan comes to us from a great Juco program", said Coach Tyrrell. "He can shoot it, get to spots, defend, and knows how to win. We have a new roster this year so adding a quality player with college experience was very important. We definitely got that in DaJuan".

DaJuan will be studying Business Management and Technology at Vermont Tech.

DaJuan can't wait to get back on the court with Tyrone and his new Knights teammates.

"After talking with my good friend and former teammate, Tyrone Hilson, the decision to commit to Vermont Tech was easy", said Johnson. "He vouched for the program and school, and once I looked more into the academics and athletics it was an easy decision for me. This should be a great season".

The Knights are coming off a 20-13 season, which saw them return to the National Tournament for the first time in 5 years. For more information about the program please contact Coach Tyrrell at atyrrell@vtc.edu
