All-American honors go to two men's basketball players

Norfolk, VA - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announce its Basketball All-American Teams last week. Vermont Tech has 2 players who have received honors.

Junior Cameron Carter (Atlanta, GA) was named to the USCAA Men's Basketball Division II All-American Second Team for his stellar play against other USCAA opponents.  Coach Alex Tyrrell states "Cameron is an extremely well rounded player. He isn't always on top of the stat categories, but Cam makes good in-game decisions and meaningful plays that make a real difference to the outcome of our games."

Freshman Lewis Holey (Sydney, Australia) was named as USCAA Men's Basketball Division II Honorable Mention.  "Lewis is a great addition to our team this year." says coach Tyrrell. "Lewis has made an impact from day one with his tough play and he just never gives up in a game.  I am really proud of these two, and it shows throughout the league that other teams notice thier stellar play."

Both players will be awarded their certificates at the Vermont Tech Athletic Awards dinner next week at Three Stallion Inn on March 23.
